The government shut down in 2025 because Big Insurance greed knows no limits. The same greedy companies jacking up our premiums and denying care are now demanding billions more in taxpayer funded subsidies. In his address to the nation on December 17th, 2025, President Trump stated “I’m also taking on the gigantic health insurance companies that have gotten rich on billions of dollars of money…They will not be happy. But that’s okay with me because you the people are finally going to be getting great healthcare at a lower cost.” Later that week he announced he is going to “call a meeting of the big insurance companies that have gotten so rich receiving money…far far more money than they are entitled to…and I’m gonna see if I can get their price down very bluntly.”
